It doesn’t matter
In what formation
If you spit on the sidewalk
That’s grounds for indictment
Not just a citation
The General has issued
His new policies
And announced
The following proclamation:

The presumption of innocence
Is no more
You’re guilty
Until acquitted
Guilt by association
Is a good reason
For any jury
To get you convicted
“Reasonable” is replaced
By “any” doubt
Doesn’t matter if
The logic is twisted

McCarthy is looming on the horizon
Remember the Japanese internment
So every call n’ every moment
Every book n’ every movement
Every sale n’ engagement
Every mosque n’ every sermon
Would be monitored n’ listed

And if you didn’t like secret evidence
We’d hold you on no evidence

And if you yell,
We will roar
We’re patriotic
