General George was a revolutionary
He rose up against King George
And his tyranny

Thereafter, President George presided
Over another institution

Part of a magnificent charter
Called the Constitution

It promised a rule
Of the people
By the people
And for the people

It enshrined many freedoms
Of religion
Of assembly
And protest

It guaranteed many rights
Due process
Individual dignity
And dissent

But on Nine Eleven
Something strange happened

While people were in mourning
President George was overthrown
And on the throne was King George
