(Everywhere all over the country’s city halls, community centers, and street corners)
People’s concerns
Have turned to anger
As they pause
The pointed question
Are we to stand by helpless?
Or are we to engage
In direct action?
Our constitution is sacred
Our rights and freedoms
Deserve all the protection
Dictatorships and police states
Are un-American
Damned we, if such
Becomes the prediction
Our city and town councils
Our counties and assemblies
Are taking a firm stand
Condemning and repealing the legislation
Ain’t really a request
But a demand
Let’s vote
The rascals out
No if, but or and
Let’s energize n’ mobilize
And unite all people
Solidarity has just been
Great n’ soaring
Freedom will surely
Be fully restored
As the sun rises
Every morning
It doesn’t matter
Whether you’ve got none,
Or follow the Torah,
The Gospel, or the Qur’an
We’re in this together
What’s important is
You are a human being
A true patriotic American
